Welcome to Quantum Engineering and Design (QED). We are an Engineering company specialising the detailed design and Manufacture of Architectural Metalwork, and Industrial enclosures. The team at QED have many years experience in the manufacture and supply to the Construction and Manufacturing sectors, and we have a reputation for excellent quality and delivery.

We are centrally located just outside Moira and are only a short drive from most of the province. We have a highly skilled team, proficient in the fabrication of Mild Steel, Stainless Steel and Aluminium. Using our own wide range of in house equipment we can design and manufacture most items, we also have links into many other Local Metalwork specialists should the need arise.

We currently supply the following goods:- Gates, railings, Staircases, Canopies, disabled access ramps, smoking shelters and sports dugouts. We also offer general engineering services to various industries.

We have an in house Engineering design service using the latest in 3D CAD technology.

We have a wide range of production equipment including brakepress, flat bed plasma profiler, CNC guillotine, and section rollers. We are proficient in the fabrication of Mild steel, Stainless steel and Aluminium.

QED Design
QED uses the latest in 3D solid modelling software to fully design all manufactured products. The software provides CNC output files directly to the shopfloor equipment using CAD/CAM to the sheet metal profiler and brakepress.

The software can import client 3D or 2D ACAD files from external sources and can provide 3D viewer models and complete manufacturing drawings to clients for sign-off. The software can also export CAD design information directly to Architects to overlay on overall site design plans.

If required QED can provide full Structural CAT2 design certificates (working in conjunction with local structural Engineers). QED can also carry out detailed surveys to measure for complex jobs, these co-ordinates and levels are then fed into the CAD system and used as a basis for modelling.
