Our chartered physiotherapist Julie-Ann McLean BSc(Hons), MCSP, HPC registered, is highly skilled and trained in a comprehensive range of treatment techniques. Julie-Ann qualified as a physiotherapist from the University of Ulster in 2010. Since then she has completed a post-graduate diploma in manipulative therapy and completed a course of study in acupuncture and modified Pilates for Rehabilitation. Julie-Ann is currently completing a PG certificate in Sports and Exercise Medicine, as part of an MSc in Advanced Physiotherapy practice. Julie-Ann has a particular interest in sports injuries and the management of back and neck pain. Her treatments are holistic and address the source of her patient’s symptoms with a view to preventing recurrence of injury.

Physiotherapists treat a wide range of conditions, from long-standing pain and movement dysfunction, to the most recent of injuries. Physiotherapists use their hands combined with a range of techniques and equipment to accelerate the bodies own healing mechanisms and maximise function. At Body & Sole, we treat the non-sports person, right through to the professional athlete.

Through the use of acupuncture we can also treat clients who suffer from headaches, sinus problems, insomnia or stress.
Initial consultation takes 1 hour. During this time we will fully assess and diagnose the nature of our clients’ problem. The diagnosis will be discussed with the client to help ensure they have a full understanding of the problem. Follow up treatments will take 45mins / 1 hour.

Our Podiatrist and General Practice Chiropodist is Duncan Burnside B.S.c. (Hons), MChS, SRCh. Member of HPC. Duncan qualified in the treatment, management and avoidance of movement injuries in 1997. To expand his knowledge and understanding of foot and lower limb disorders he undertook an honors degree in Podiatry/Chiropody in 2000. His ethos remains maximum mobility for all. Ranging from patients needing treatment for activity or sports related injuries, to senior patients requiring general practice chiropody.
