The interior is modern yet welcoming and comfortable, with plain wooden furniture, iron columns, cream panelled walls and exposed duct work on the ceilings. The floor is dark, slate grey, designed to echo the cobbled street outside.
With its enviable location under a stunning colonnade, it is a haven for those who love al fresco dining during the summer months.
The restaurant seats 70 people and has an intimate, friendly feel like its sister restaurant Oregano. It is the perfect place to go to enjoy great food, fantastic service and good conversation.
During the week, The Potted Hen opens at 10.30am, serving deliciously creamy hot chocolate, flavoured coffees and specialty teas. It is the perfect place to enjoy a well deserved mid-morning break or hold an informal meeting.
Lunch begins at 12 noon and ends at 3pm, while dinner is served from 5pm to 10pm. On Sundays the restaurant serves 12 noon through to 9pm so you can relax and take it easy while the children Eat Free! Appropriately, one of the signature starters is Dermot’s delicious ‘Potted Hen’ Chicken Liver terrine served in a stylish glass Kilner jar.
