Welcome to North Down First Aid Training
NDFA Training was founded in 2006, primarily we were set up to deliver First Aid training. Coming from a pre-Hospital and primary Care background we decided to pass on our know how and experience to those needing First Aid training. Our courses are taught in a relaxed environment helping to put learners at ease. We use different teaching styles covering different learning styles ensuring that those on our courses get the most from their training. Being based in Bangor Co Down we travel throughout Northern Ireland delivering our courses or you can come to us, which most local NI Companies do. Due to our convenient location in the Centre of town a mere 5 minute walk from the Bus / railway station and easy access from Belfast and the rest of the province.

Defibrillation AED Training
This is a short course in Basic Life Support (B.LS). The aim of the course is to enable all learners to deal with an unconscious casualty who is breathing and an unconscious casualty who is not breathing. This course gives the Learner the necessary knowledge to arrange equipment and call for the Emergency Services when required.

FPOS
NDFA Training organise First Person On Scene Intermediate (FPOS-I) courses every month at our training venue. The course meets the minimum requirement for the SIA for those wishing to work in Close Protection (CP) or for anyone who wishes to have a more indepth knowledge of First Aid and pre Hospital treatment.

Trainer Courses
Our teaching qualifications are ideal for new entrants to the teaching industry, those currently teaching, or those who wish to teach their specialist subject to others. Trainers involved in providing funded Work Based Learning (WBL) may also be required to obtain a teaching qualification in order to satisfy the funding requirements.

Vocational Courses
This half-day training session is aimed at those who carry out manual handling activities at work and introduces delegates to the hazards of manual handling, the risks involved and controls available and what to expect from a manual handling assessment.
