I understand that having your home designed is a unique opportunity to combine your needs and desires to create a living environment which reflects your individual character and style. My aim is to work closely with my clients on a very personal basis to interpret their wishes and turn their dream homes into a reality.



During my 25 years in the industry, I have gained invaluable experience while working with various Architects. I specialise in obtaining statutory approvals such as Planning Permission and Building Control Approval within the residential sector, offering my personal service to each client whether they require a bespoke house or simply a remodel of their existing home.

I believe that every client deserves to be treated in a professional yet personal manner. The client /designer relationship must be built on trust and discretion from the outset.



Services
At our initial meeting, we will discuss your project and I will explain how I work. With my informal approach, I seek to develop a personal relationship with my clients and a complete understanding of your requirements.

Following our initial meeting, I will develop a creative working brief with the focus on a design solution that is tailored to your individual requirements; design schemes are never reproduced. I will then quote a fee for the project and once this has been fully discussed and the brief agreed upon, I will proceed to prepare the preliminary scheme design for discussion at our next meeting.

At our next meeting we will work together to further develop the scheme design and resolve any concerns or issues you may have. Once you are completely happy with the scheme design, final drawings are prepared for submission to Planning Service. I will liaise with Planning Service on your behalf to ensure effective communication during the application process.



The following stage, subject to Planning Approval, is detailed design. The creative design activity is now complete and the design is established. The production of detailed drawings and specification is prepared for submission to Building Control and again I will liaise with them on your behalf.

Having obtained all relevant statutory approvals the final stage is construction; the realization of your project. I have found, in the past, that the majority of clients are confident to take the project on from here to completion working together with an experienced and reputable contractor. However, at any time during the course of the project, my advice is available should it be required.
