Welcome to Liquid Colour Design (LCD), the company is a professional custom paint and airbrush with design, based at the start of the Antrim Glens in a wee village called Ballycarry, Northern Ireland. There are many different ways LCD can complete and design your work from start to finish for all of your future projects.
From many aspects of custom paint and airbrush design work I can complete some of the following; motorcycle helmets, bikes, scooters, bedrooms, house signs, cars, vans, trucks, helicopters, rifle stocks, equestrian helmets, jet skis & many more.
From a young boy growing up in the small seaside town of Scarborough, North Yorkshire, there was always the annual influence of bikers and scooter’s riding about the town showing off their custom paint jobs and airbrush detail work. Friends and I would slip in and watch with awe the likes of Barry Sheene racing against other amazing greats such as Joey Dunlop up at Oliver’s Mount.
We would spend hours and hours looking at the different bikes parked up outside, showing the amazing artwork and all the custom paint and airbrush work, way before we ever heard of Orange County Choppers on TV. The UK Custom Paint & Airbrush scene was massive in those days and fuelled the start of my interest into airbrush and custom paint.
Also, during this period graffiti art was really starting to hit urban areas, I found myself involved in graffiti art and was painting/spraying art work on shop fronts advertising many different business and being paid small sums which would allow me to purchase more paint, until as every kid knows, you have to get a real job! I spent many years travelling around the world seeing great art and custom paint from all aspects of life such as surf shops in Indonesia and Australia, and tribal art and so on, I knew then this is what I wanted to do as I loved art.
Custom paint & Airbrush has seen a very big increase over the last few years not just the motorbike or the scooter industry but from fine art work to applying great artwork into bedrooms, murals, films, kids favourite TV programmes to Pubs and Large Nightclubs, custom artwork can also be seen in Hospitals, the list is endless.
Liquid Colour Designs custom paint shop is at my home location in the small rural Village of Ballycarry at the start of the Antrim Glens in Northern Ireland. I have been living in this great little Village from 2002 with my fantastic wife Naomi and my beautiful daughter Erin aged 11 years, I also have to mention our guard dog Tara the 6 year old Jack Russell.
I have had a great opportunity of being shown some of the many different aspects of airbrushing and custom painting from the top European Airbrush and Custom Painter Simon Murray of SM Designs who has been a great help and inspiration to me.
