EQUINE ASSISTED THERAPY

Horse riding
It's about horses helping people with a wide range of mental health problems to experience themselves differently. It involves a therapy team of horses, with a health professional and horse specialist.

Working with horses and professional therapists, people discover new ways of dealing with problems. Sometimes these problems can be greatly reduced or overcome.

A relationship developed with a horse can offer challenges to help overcome fears, build up trust, respect, compassion, develop communication skills, problem solving and coping techniques, self confidence and self esteem. These skills are transferrable to many other areas of ordinary day to day life.

The role of the therapy team is to act as guides through these processes. It is experiential by nature. People learn about themselves and others by participating in activities with the horses.

Careful debriefing and discussions with the therapy team encourage self awareness and change.

Mountain Bike Skills Course
Learning new and topping up on your mountain bike skills on a purpose-built mobile mountain bike course which can be set up anywhere from a car park to a back garden, the skills course will have different obstacles to suit novice riders to experienced ones.

Bouldering
Walking up a river, sliding down rock slides, climbing waterfalls, swimming and jumping into rock pools not to mention trying to get across mud pit swampy!!! Then finish off by jumping off the small cliff jumps!

Corporate Team Building
Helping people work better as a team or just individuals through different team tasks and ice breakers using outdoor activities! It's a great way to get your team working and communicating better together and getting them to think outside the box, turning the hardest of problems into the simplest.
