About Travel Lift (Ireland)

MOBILE PLANT TRAINING IN NORTHERN IRELAND

Travelift Ireland has been operating since 1987 and we are Northern Ireland’s foremost independent forklift truck training provider.

We offer our services to any and all clients, from small scale building sites through to large warehouses and even the aerospace industry.

We specialise in lift trucks, but our experienced and fully qualified instructors can offer training in all forms of mobile plant machinery, including overhead cranes, lorry mounted cranes and skid steer machinery.

24 HOURS A DAY, 364 DAYS A YEAR
Our instructors operate 24 hours a day, which means we can tailor our services to your shift work.

We can offer our services for 364 days a year, meaning that we can meet your needs. Our experience means that we can make sure our courses fit in with what you need.

ON-SITE TRAINING
We usually visit our client’s premises to carry out our training, but a training centre can be arranged if necessary.

The advantage of this is that trainees are trained on the vehicles that they will be operating on every day when they complete their training.

At Travelift, our Banksman training ensures that any employee in your charge who is required to operate a vehicle in your workplace does so within the latest guidelines set out by the Government.

Banksman training is specifically designed for any member of your team that directs the movements of vehicles, anywhere within your business. The training guarantees that both their driving and operational skills are satisfactory but also that their recognition and understanding of the latest health and safety criteria is up to scratch.

MANUAL HANDLING TRAINING
Manual handling training courses across Ireland
Manual handling relates to the moving of items either by lifting, lowering, carrying, pushing or pulling. Injuries can be caused because of the amount of times you have to pick up or carry an item, the distance you are carrying it, the height you are picking it up from or putting it down at, and any twisting, bending, stretching or other awkward posture you may get in whilst doing a task.

Travelifts Manual Handling Training course ensures that your knowledge of good lifting technique is up to date, helping you to avoid injury at work.

Avoid the most common cause of injury at work
Manual handling is one of the most common causes of injury at work and causes over a third of all workplace injuries which include work related Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs). Manual handling injuries can occur almost anywhere in the workplace and heavy manual labour, awkward postures and previous or existing injury can increase the risk.

Work related manual handling injuries can have serious implications for both the employer and the person who has been injured, so it is essential therefore that employers manage the risks to their employees.
