Cookstown Enterprise Centre As a one stop shop for business support, Cookstown Enterprise Centre is the leading provider of business start-up and development assistance for businesses setting up or developing in the Cookstown District Council area. Over the past fifteen years, Cookstown Enterprise Centre has assisted in the start-up and development of over 2,000 businesses throughout the District. Over 50,000 square feet of business premises which is home to 30 client businesses employing over 200 people, is just one example of how Cookstown Enterprise Centre caters for the needs of small and medium sized businesses.
Conference and ICT Facilities The centre has developed its range of services in recent years and now boasts newly refurbished conference suites. In addition, the centre’s new IT training facility offers a modern suite of 12 computers, equipped with just about every conceivable extra.
Office Services CEC also offers a range of competitively priced office services to tenant companies and Cookstown’s general business community.
Training and Consultancy Cookstown Enterprise Centre’s training and consultancy division also offers a wide range of assistance to individuals exploring the possibility of starting a business as well as support to established businesses.
One of the most popular programmes offered by the centre is the Go-For-It Start a Business Programme, designed to support all kinds of new business ventures, both full-time and part-time. It is funded by Invest NI and supported by Cookstown District Council and in recent years over 400 businesses have started having availed of support through the programme. Clients can avail of FREE advice, an 8-night Business Start Training course covering sales and marketing, financial management, human resources, legal and statutory issues, and general business practices. Clients are also assisted with their own Business Plan and they can also avail of mentoring as well as IT support, a website and logo design service and access to grants and small business loans.
ENI Loan Fund A partnership of funders (Enterprise Northern Ireland, Invest Northern Ireland, The International Fund for Ireland and The European Union) has been established to provide new and existing businesses in the Cookstown area with access to the capital they require through the Enterprise Northern Ireland Loan Fund.
