George Fawcett Cariages is a family-run business based in Saintfield, Co. Down

We have been providing a horse-drawn service for nearly 20 years now. We use our pure bred black Friesian and original carriages to provide a professional and personal turnout every time.

Our horses are trained to the highest standard and have years of experience, as do our drivers and grooms, and we specialise in weddings and funerals, as well as also providing horses and carriages for corporate events, TV, film, parades and special occasions.

Funerals
A very hard time for everyone involved. Our horses promise a beautiful and dignified final journey. We use an original hearse, which will hold standard coffins as well as American Caskets. It is discreetly decorated, so pairing it with a pair of Friesians is very understated yet impressive. Black plumes and drapes are also available.

Weddings
What better way to arrive at your wedding than by horse and carriage. We have a choice of wedding carriages available for hire to suit your theme. We have a landau which is great in the summer months, and which allows the roof to opened partially or right down.
We can also provide a town coach, which has been newly painted ivory with gold detail, and is a popular choice for those who want the fairytale wedding. Paired with out black Friesians, it is sure to turn heads and make for lovely photos.
We also have a black Brougham – very Downton Abbey! It would be used more often at winter weddings.

Other Events
We can cater for every event-specific needs. Our horses are so well trained, used to working in all traffic conditions and fully insured, we have been used for a huge range of events throughout Ireland, as well as appearing in Game of Thrones and other independent films.
