ONE OF THE LARGEST INDEPENDENT FISH PET SHOPS IN IRELAND
From humble beginnings in a converted terrace house in East Belfast almost 40 years ago, Grosvernor Tropicals is now the largest independent importer of Tropical and Marine fish in Ireland with suppliers across Europe, Asia and the Far East. Employing more than a dozen full and part-time staff at our Lisburn Superstore and at our North Down and Lisburn quarantine facilities.

Currently we have the only tropical, marine and coldwater quarantine facilities in Ireland. Behind the scenes there are hundreds of tanks holding tens of thousands of fish; these are all monitored for health and quality before they are offered for sale. Similarly, Koi and other Fancies have the opportunity to rest in the luxury of large heated ponds after their long and arduous journeys from across the globe. When the fish do meet their perspective owners they are all healthy and rested, and fully acclimatised to local food and water conditions.

And the secret of our success? Well perhaps it has something to do with the quality of our fish, and the enthusiasm of our staff. For without exception, everyone in the company is an active fish keeper. Indeed some of the staff have been keeping fish for almost half a century, and are still enjoying it..! Not only that, they are happy to pass on their knowledge and experience to any Customer who asks. Surely that's what the hobby is all about.

Being on-line it should be obvious that we are not knocking the Internet, but please remember you are always welcome to call into the shop and see us in person, hundreds of our customers do..! (some even escape without buying anything, although we do try to discourage this type of behaviour).
