Curran's Bar & Seafood Steakhouse was built in 1791 at the same time as St Mary’s Church on the opposite side of the road. Through the years it has passed from generation to generation of the same family.

In 2003 extensive refurbishment work was carried out, creating one of the finest bars and restaurants in the area. Curran’s is a great meeting place and very family orientated.

We pride ourselves on using only the freshest and finest local ingredients. The local fishing boats landing in Ardglass supply a wide variety of fresh fish including the prawns, which we shell ourselves. All steaks are locally sourced dry hung Prime Irish Beef and our potatoes come from local farmer John Doyle.

With a highly trained kitchen team and experienced bar and restaurant staff we are delighted with the comments and commendations of our customers. We look forward to the continued growth of the business and committed to sharing with each of our visitors the best of Co Down – the finest seafood, excellent steaks, great wines, good value, luxurious surroundings, lively entertainment and warm friendly hospitality.


Public Bar
Food served daily 12.30 to 9pm. Live music Friday, Saturday & Sunday.

Back Room
Snug off the bar. Food served daily 12.30 to 9 pm. A very cosy room with a very large open fire. Ideal for those cold winter nights.

Restaurant
A luxurious 60 plus seater restaurant with its old wooden floors, soft velvet drapes, large fireplace and old family portraits it is like stepping back in time to a more elegant era.

Beer Terrace
Our beer terrace is very popular during the Spring & Summer months and is a sun trap. The area has piped music, patio heaters, views overlooking the courtyard and with food served and excellent place to relax and watch the horses in the field.

Weddings
Currans Bar is now registered for civic weddings on site. Contact us today to arrange your special day.

Play Area
A children's play area is now available so that children can be entertained while their parents enjoy their meal.

Wheelchair Access, Disabled facilities, Baby Changing Facilities, Car parking, Fully Air-conditioned, Major credit cards accepted, functions catered for.
