At Cranmore we train dentists in the provision and restoration of dental implants. We have also been approved as the Irish Training Facility for the University of Central Lancashire, Institute of Postgraduate Dental Education Unit, Masters Degree in Implant Dentistry with Dr Nelson as Lead Clinical Supervisor.

Dr Nelson is the Clinical Director of Cranmore and was the first dentist in Northern Ireland to obtain a Masters Degree in Dental Implantology. He has a wealth of experience in all aspects of dental implants including placement, restoration and bone grafting procedures. He regularly accepts referrals from other dentists in relation to dental implant treatment.

David is also a Tutor at the School of Dentistry, Queens University Belfast, where he delivers lectures in relation to dental implants to undergraduates. Committed to continuing education, Cranmore has been approved as the Irish Clinical Training Centre for the University of Central Lancashire Masters Programme in Implant Dentistry, with David as Lead Clinical Supervisor.

David has been appointed a Fellow of the International Team for Implantology which is a non-profit organization of dedicated practitioners who champion the correct utilization of implant dentistry for the benefit of patients. He also sits on the Board of Directors for the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. In January 2011, he established the Cranmore Academy, which delivers a series of clinical and non-clinical CPD accredited study clubs for local dentists.

Dr Nelson is a Fellow of the International Team for Implantology, Member of the Association of Dental Implantology, Member of the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, Member of the Society for the Advancement of Anaesthesia in Dentistry and Member of British Dental Association.
