Reviews of Currys

We have on many previous occasions bought electrical items form our local Currys store and to be fair had no problems at all. However our last purchase has been plagued with problems. We ordered a Panasonic tv which did not arrive before the promised date. On returning to the store there appears to have been some sort of mix up and the TVs was reordered to be delivered a week later. When the TVs was delivered I set it up and all seamed well. However when the other half got to view it she thought the colours where bad. it became apparent that the problem was the viewing angle. If viewed head on, no problem, but any more than 15 degrees from head on the colour faded away quite badly. We contacted Know How and were told to bring the TVs back and they would exchange it or offer a refund. When we went back to the store an exchange or refund was refused. The manager said that if we had of returned it after a few day he may have offered an exchange but as it was 16 days his hand were tied???? We offered to buy a more expensive TV and even offered to accept a reduction on the returned tv. All refused. We mentioned the 21 day return quote on the receipt but this is only if you don't open the box or try it !!! Panasonic quote a viewing angle of 176 degrees but colour starts to fade at 15 degrees and by 30 degrees is unwatchable. So very unhappy customers

I was in newry currys today and bought a 42 inch smart tv and a sony docking station at 16.00.left it in car and went to smyths to buyfew santa things, came out at 16.28 from receipt on smyths to find my back car window broken and tv and docking station gone. Once i went back into currys whilst waiting for police to see if they had cctv the blond girl noticed i had a 3 and 6 year old with me and was freezing outside. The lovely girl took the kids and said they could play with the tablets and let me deal with the police and made the kids very comfortable.i didnt get the girls name but she was serving at till at 4.30 and if it wasnt for her with me being stressed out and taking the kids out ofthe cold i would have been lost......thanks to the girl if she reads it she will know and great team member with only being in her 20,s!
Called in to have a look at computers. Kirby, a very pleasant and helpful young lady gave me all the information I needed. Went back next day and bought one. Michael was excellent and also very helpful. Great service from well trained and patient staff. A credit to Currys. Many thanks, Phil
I'd like to thank Helen and her team for their help and impeccable service yesterday whilst exchanging a TV. As it was close to closing I''d felt that the staff had every right to close the doors and deal with my issue at another time but instead quickly resolved the matter and made a very happy customer,
