| | Win Tickets For Johnny Foreigner With The Big List! | | | | The JD Set is back in Belfast, and brings with it indie rockers Johnny Foreigner to light up the Spring and Airbrake on May 4.
2008's JD Sets have seen 40 hotly tipped bands taking to the stage across the UK. And in its illustrious five year history, the event has played host to artists such as The Courteeners, Kate Nash, Cold War Kids, Hot Club De Paris, The Wombats, Futureheads, Editors, Maximo Park, Pull Tiger Tail, Foals and Flaming Lips.
The young indie purveyors, Johnny Foreigner, have released three singles, an EP, and expect to issue a full-length debut Waited Up 'Til It Was Light in the summer of 2008.
The band garnered enough attention by 2007 to ink a contract with Best Before Records, and bandmates Alexei, Junior, and Kelly upped sticks to London to record the Arcs Across the City EP. A full-length album was recorded in New York late last year and the 7" single "Our Bipolar Friends" was just issued in March 2008 to drum up support for the record's release.
