To celebrate Mono's 5th Birthday on the 28th February, Danny Rampling will be flying in from London to host the celebrations at the Belfast club. DJ Danny Rampling made his name as a revolutionary dance music pioneer, and is affectionately known as the Godfather of the British house music scene. The DJ is also widely credited as one of the original founders of the UK's rave/club scene, so for its Birthday, Mono will be going back to its roots. Danny, who joined Radio 1 in November 1994 from Kiss FM, is hailed as one of the world's hottest dance DJs at the minute. He has now released almost 20 compilation cd’s for the likes of Ministry of Sound, Cream, Defected and Mixmag, remixed everyone from D-Ream to Erasure along the way and penned a successful book entitled “Everything You Need to Know About DJing & Success. In 2005 Rampling announced his retirement from DJing to concentrate on running his restaurant, but in 2007 began making some on-off appearances at selected clubs, which makes his appearance that little bit more special.
