Harp Ice Cold Big Gig with The Alice Kona Band!
The March Harp Ice Cold Big Gig is a sweet pic'n'mix of diverse new acts that are already making big noises.
The Alice Kona Band are a garage/surf rock outfit and carry around the mantle of "one of the coolest bands in Belfast". They are the voice of Belfast's new music, while countless gushing reviews have called the band everything from "unmissable" to "ones to watch for 2010". The relatively young act from Belfast has made a major impression on the scene in an unprecedented short space of time.
Comply Or Die are the latest incarnation of Belfast's long history of power three piece bands. To date the band has recorded and released their first album, hailed by audiences and the press. The record has been getting some serious airtime on major radio student networks and the band has earned a major support slot with Joe Lally of punk legends Fugazi. With weighty sludge and vicious punk rock. As always, the Comply Or Die juggernaught rolls on.
Snitch are a subtle blend of skate punk, pop punk and punk punk. They will make your ears bleed and make you damn grateful for it too. Featuring ex members of Numskull, A Red Letter Day and Grabbit Phonya, this Belfast based four piece's self confessed mission is to make everyone in the building dance like an idiot.
The March Harp Ice Cold Big Gig take place on March 19 in the Spring and Airbrake. Doors open 9.00pm, admission £4. Drinks promotions on the night!
