LVF denies involvement in Ballyhalbert killing

A loyalist paramilitary organisation linked to the disappearance and murder of a Co Down woman in February has said its members were not involved in her killing.

In a statement released on Thursday the Loyalist Volunteer Force (LVF) said it intends to give a presbyterian minister a letter naming those it suspects was behind the murder of 25-year-old Lisa Dorrian.

The Bangor woman disappeared after a party at a caravan site in Ballyhalbert on 28 February. Her body has yet to be found.

On Wednesday, Ms Dorrian's mother Pat said she would talk to mainstream loyalist paramilitaries if it meant getting her daughter's body back following speculation that loyalists were behind the murder.

The family has offered a £10,000 reward for information leading to the recovery of Lisa's body.
