Jury Hears Phone Call Made By Paul Byrne As Wife Stabs Him To Death
A jury today heard a 999 phone call made by the late Paul Byrne, crying for help as his wife stabbed him to death.
The engineer, 48, told the operator, "My wife is stabbing me", "She is trying to kill me".
Mr Byrne was stabbed over 60 times by Tanya Doyle at their home in Pairc Gleann Trasna, Aylesbury, on 4th September 2009.
She admits the killing, however she denies murder.

Fianna Fáil has criticised the Government over its "failure to get to grips with its own annual plans for the construction of new schools across Ireland over the last five years". Fianna Fáil Spokesperson on Education and Skills, Thomas Byrne, said that construction is yet to even start on five schools which were first announced in 2013.

The CAO system must be reformed and entry levels into third level education broadened, Fianna Fáil Spokesperson on Education and Skills, Thomas Byrne, has said. Deputy Byrne said it was of "critical importance" to implement more meaningful and ambitions reforms to the CAO and Leaving Cert system.
