Irish Nanny Accused Of Killing Baby Girl Has Charges Dropped

An Irish nanny accused of murdering a baby girl in the United States has had the charge dropped.

Aisling Brady McCarthy from County Cavan had been expected to stand trial accused of killing one-year-old Rehma Sabir in Massachusetts in 2013.

A decision by the medical examiner had been reversed and it is believed the baby died from undetermined injuries.

Ms Brady served two and a half years in jail and received bail in May.

She had been living in the US for 15 years illegally and she is now expected to be deported.
