Raspberry Foray, As Prince Sued Over Cancellation

The pint-sized purple protagonist, Prince, is being sued for €1.6 million by event organisers for pulling out of his Croke Park gig.

Promoter MCD is suing the enigmatic singer and musician, claiming financial loss and damage to its reputation after Prince made the last minute cancellation.

Apparently Prince has never submitted an apology or reason for the cancellation, which left 55,000 Prince fans disappointed.

At a preliminary hearing on Wednesday in the High Court, a solicitor for the gig's promoters said that MCD had agreed to pay Prince a whopping fee of $3 million, or (€2.3 million).

Prince allegedly cancelled the concert 10 days before the performance leaded to an alleged loss of €1,664,945 for the promoter, according to reports.

Although there was no formal written contract between the two parties, MCD's legal team are relying on an email sent by Prince's agent to qualify as a written agreement.
