Teenage girl dies in car accident

A teenage girl has died after a road traffic accident in County Down.

The accident happened on the Katesbridge Road near Banbridge at about 8pm on Sunday February 17.

Two cars were involved in the collision.

Meanwhile two men are recovering from wounds to a leg after being attacked in Larne, County Antrim on Sunday February 17.

A man (30) was shot in the left leg at about 8.30pm in the back garden of a derelict house at Kintyre Road in Larne.

At 11.50pm., another man, who was out walking his dog in Greenland Crescent in Larne, was approached by a man wearing an orange jacket and a balaclava and shot in one of his legs. The attacker fled toward Ferris Avenue.

The Police Service of Northern Ireland is investigating motives for the shootings. (AMcE)

Man Jailed For Manslaughter Of David James Conville
A 31-year-old man has been jailed at Belfast Crown Court for the manslaughter of David James Conville in south Belfast in May, 2022. Edward Kelly was sentenced to serve three-and-a-half years, half of his sentence will be served in custody and half will be served on licence, following his guilty plea last November.
