Police investigate sexual assault in West Belfast
The RUC in Belfast are looking for two men and two women in connection with an alleged sexual assault in the west of the city early on Tuesday morning.
At around midnight residents in the Slieveban Drive area of Andersonstown found a 22-year-old woman on the road. Police have said the woman, who had been thrown out of a small white car, had been the victim of a sexual assault. An RUC spokesperson said there were two men and two women in the car, whose back window may have been missing.
Meanwhile a man has been taken to hospital after being shot in the leg in County Antrim. The paramilitary style shooting happened in the Moss Drive area of Antrim town at about 9.15pm on Monday October 22. The victim was shot once in the right leg. (AMcE)

Afghanistan Veteran On Rape Charge
A bomb-blasted former soldier has appeared in court in Belfast charged with rape and false imprisonment. Gerald Verner, 23, of Forthriver Park, who was deafened by a bomb in Afghanistan, is also accused of inflicting grievous bodily harm, sexual assault and threats to kill against the same woman.
