Woman Charged Over Cannabis Discovery

A woman has been charged in connection with what the police describe as a cannabis factory in County Antrim.

Ballymena PSNI officers discovered cannabis and herbal cannabis each thought to be worth in the region of £20k during the search of a premises at the Duneany Road in Ballymena.

The woman has been charged with growing an illegal substance, possession and possession with intent to supply.

The 34-year-old, who has not been identified, will appear at Ballymena Magistrates’ Court next in February.

Two Men Arrested In £500,000 Drug Seiure In South Belfast
Two men have been arrested in connection with a £500,000 drug seizure following searches in South Belfast. On Friday, 01 March, detectives from the PSNI's Organised Crime Branch stopped and searched two vehicles in the Lisburn Road area. Class B controlled drugs were recovered from both vehicles which were also subsequently seized.

Appeal Issued After Spate Of Robberies In Coleraine
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information following a number of report of thefts in the Coleraine area. Police received a report that overnight on Friday, 24 February, someone had gained to a property in the Knockaduff Road area, taking away a scrambler motorbike and helmets.

Appeal After Masked Men Force Entry Into Home Of Elderly Man
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information after five masked me forced entry into the home of an man aged in his 70s, on the Saintfield Road. Police received a report shortly before 11.30pm on Saturday, 17th February that between 10pm and 10.30pm on the same evening, five masked men entered a house in the Saintfield Road area.

Additional £8.1m Announced For Road Maintenance Across NI
An additional £8.1 million has been announced for investment in structural road maintenance across NI, Infrastructure Minister John O'Dowd has announced.
