Missing Teenager Found Near River

A missing Lisburn teenager has been found unconscious with head injuries and is now in a critical condition in hospital

Scott Vineer, 17, was seen leaving his college in the city on Thursday afternoon.

He was then found on Friday evening in the grounds of a disused furniture showroom near the Lagan Towpath.

Police believe Scott was assaulted and are keen to hear from anyone who can help them retrace his movements.

He is described as being 6ft 3ins tall, of heavy build, and clean-shaven with short dark hair.

He was wearing a dark, hooded jacket with a blue T-shirt underneath, dark trousers and a dark beanie hat with a logo on the front.

Man Dies After Crushing Accident

A 33-year-old man died in an accident in County Londonderry yesterday morning.

It is understood the man, whose name has not yet been released, was crushed by a van he was working on.

The accident happened on the Gortinure Road in Newbuildings.

Manufacturing Programme Open For Business

Businesses in Belfast and Lisburn who want to "maximise customer value while minimising waste" are urged to register for the Manufacturing Efficiency Programme.

The brainchild of both councils, the programme will involve workshops, mentoring and support from industry experts, but only a limited number of businesses can be involved.

Previous participants at Suki Tea said the programme helped the company streamline its business, hitting a 25% increase in production output.

County Armagh pensioner robbed by gang
Police have appealed for information after a pensioner was robbed by a gang in her home in County Armagh. A spokesperson for the PSNI said that a gang of up to six men broke into the home of a woman aged in her early 80s, by forcing their way through a front window of her home in the Bessbrook area at around 7pm yesterday evening.
