Woman Stole Bank Card And PIN From 'Vulnerable' Man

A twenty-year-old woman who had forty previous convictions has been jailed for nine months for taking part in an assault on a man.

Stacey Magee, from Jefferson Court in Londonderry, admitted stealing £480 from the man's account by forcing him to hand over his bank card and PIN number.

The man was described in Londonderry Magistrates Court as being vulnerable.

During the assault, which happened at a house party three years ago, Magee also poured vodka and beer over the victim in what was described as a "humiliating and degrading manner".

Judge Piers Grant ordered Magee to spend nine months in prison on licence after her jail sentence, and pay compensation of £2480 to her victim.

He said that Magee, an alcoholic, had been given numerous chances to turn her life around.
