Further Arrests In Paramilitary Attacks

Further arrests have been made by police investigating a series of paramilitary attacks in the Coleraine and north Antrim area, it has been reported.

Four men, aged 38, 41, 45 and 48 were detained on Wednesday morning.

They are understood to be undergoing questioning at Antrim Serious Crime Suite.

On Tuesday, two men, aged 35 and 39, were arrested in the Harpurs Hill area of Coleraine in relation to the shooting of a 15-year-old boy earlier this month. They remain in police custody. The shooting, which happened on 18 November, saw three masked men entered a house at Glebe Avenue in the area just before 5am. They shot the teenager in both legs. One of the men was also carrying a baseball bat.

Following the attack, the victim was taken to the Causeway Hospital in Coleraine before being transferred to Belfast's Royal Victoria Hospital where he underwent surgery.

PSNI Appeal For Information Following Banbridge Shooting
PSNI Detectives have issued an appeal for information following a shooting incident in Banbridge on Friday, 12 April. Shortly after 8pm, it was reported that a man aged in his 40s had been shot in his abdomen while in the car park on Rathfriland Road. Taken to hospital, his condition has been described as serious.

Man Arrested In Connection With Banbridge Shooting
A 39-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a shooting incident in Banbridge on Friday 12 April. Detectives investigating the shooting incident carried out a search of two properties in the Mullaghbawn and Banbridge areas on Wednesday, 17 April.

Two Men Attacked With Baseball Bats In Co Antrim
Two 18-year-old men have been attacked with baseball bats in Whitehead, Co Antrim. The victims were closing premises in the Balmoral Avenue area at around 8.30pm on Tuesday, 04 October when three men assaulted them. Both men were treated in hospital for their injuries. One has been discharged, and the other remains in hospital.

Man tied up and robbed in Co Antrim
A man has been tied up and robbed at his home in Co Antrim. He was in the garage of his home in the Ballywillan area of Portrush when two men broke in and attacked him. They demanded money and the keys to his van before escaping with a sum of money. The van was later found burnt out near Coleraine.
