Anscombe Renews Ulster Contract
Ulster Rugby coach Mark Anscombe has signed a one-year contract extension with the team, meaning he will lead the province until the summer of 2015.
Mr Anscombe joined Ulster in the summer of 2012 and led the team to an unbeaten 16 game run. The same season, Ulster reached the final of the RaboDirect PRO12 and the quarter finals of the Heineken Cup.
He is also the first Ulster Head Coach to win in France, when the team beat Castres by nine points to eight in January 2013.
He said: "I have enjoyed my time at Ravenhill so far. We have made good progress, we have a great squad and some excellent young players coming through, so I am pleased to be committing for a further year.
"I said when I started at Ulster that I believed that this would be a three-year project. We are half way through that now. We have a home Heineken Cup quarter-final and we are competing for a play-off place in the RaboDirect PRO12 once again.
"My focus over the next year and a half will be to finish the job that I have started and to bring some silverware back to Ravenhill."
Ulster's Director of Rugby, David Humphreys, commented: "Over the past 18 months Ulster Rugby has made huge progress on and off the pitch. Through his coaching, knowledge of the game and experience, Mark Anscombe has taken team performance to a new level and we are delighted he has committed to the Province for a further 12 months.
"It is an exciting time to be part of Ulster Rugby. The redevelopment of Ravenhill is almost complete, we are in a home Heineken Cup quarter-final, and our representation in the Ireland squad is growing.
"We believe that Mark is the right person to deliver immediate success through winning trophies and also long term success through the development of future Ulster and Ireland players."

Three Ulster Rugby Players Named In British & Irish Lions Squad
Three Ulster Rugby players have been named in the British & Irish Lions squad. Rory Best, Iain Henderson and Jared Payne have been included in the squad who are to tour New Zealand this summer. The trio are among 11 Ireland players selected by Lions Head Coach Warren Gatland.

'Nevin Spence Centre' Planned For Ravenhill
A new education and heritage centre being built at Ulster Rugby's Ravenhill stadium is to be named after the late Nevin Spence, who died in a farming accident along with his brother Graham and father Noel in September last year. The centre is part of a £14.7m redevelopment of the ground and will be called 'The Nevin Spence Centre'.

Paddy Jackson's And Stuart Olding's Contracts Revoked
The contracts of Paddy Jackson and Stuart Olding have been revoked with "immediate effect" by the Irish Rugby Football Union (IRFU) and Ulster Rugby. Last month, the two rugby players were unanimously acquitted of raping a woman at a house in south Belfast in June 2016.

The Ulster Rugby Team are to play their first match this evening following the recent refurbishment of Ravenhill Stadium. The sold-out pre-season friendly will see Ulster take on provincial rivals Leinster at home. Head Coach Mark Anscombe has named a panel of 27 players for tonight's match, which kicks off at 19.30.
