PSNI Arrest Staff Member Over Vehicle Contracts
PSNI Detectives from the Serious Crime Branch have arrested a 54-year-old member of staff in County Antrim as part of ongoing investigations into the awarding of police vehicle contracts.
The man has been arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office and has been taken to a police station in Belfast for questioning.
The move follows the arrest of seven men earlier this year, including a 48-year-old police officer, a retired police officer and a 37-year-old member of police staff.
The PSNI said the police officer and 37-year-old have been suspended.
Detectives are also preparing files on all seven suspects for submission to the Public Prosecution Service
A further file is being prepared on a 49-year-old man following inquiries into bribery and misconduct in public office, as initiated by the investigation. The man voluntarily attended a police station in Belfast last week for interview.

Man Detained After Injuring Two PSNI Officers During Arrest
Two PSNI officers have been injured as they transported a man to custody. The man, aged in his 40s, had been arrested in connection with a domestic incident in the Ennislare Road area at around 2.45am on Saturday 15 April. As officers transferred the man to custody, he became agitated and aggressive.
