Four Injured In Florida Plane Crash

Three people from Northern Ireland and one person from the Republic of Ireland have been injured in a small plane crash in St Petersburg, Florida.

St Petersburg Police Department confirmed the pilot involved in Monday's crash has been identified as 57-year-old Grant Jordon, who is currently listed as being in a serious, but stable condition at Bayfront Hospital. 53-year-old passenger Aloysius Ryan is also listed as being in a serious, but stable condition.

The other two occupants, 58-year-old Eamonn Harnell and a 17-year-old female have minor injuries.

Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) investigators arrived at the scene and are currently holding an inquiry into the cause of the crash.

The four-seat aircraft crashed at Vinvoy Park in the city after a reported engine failure. It had been travelling from Tallahassee to St Petersburg when the pilot was forced to attempt an emergency landing in the park.

Two Arrested In Connection With Serious Assault In L'Derry
Two men have been arrested in connection with a serious assault in L'Derry last night, Monday 22 January. Shortly before midnight, police received a report that a man was found injured in the area of John Street roundabout. A short time later, police arrested two men, both aged 27 years old, on suspicion of grievous bodily harm.

Kevin Conway Murder: Man Arrested
The PSNI have arrested a man in connection with the murder of Kevin Conway. Mr Conway, aged 26, was fatally shot at his home in the Greenan area of west Belfast on Tuesday, 09 January. The 37-year-old has been detained in custody for questioning.
