Appeal over Missing Chinese Nationals

Police have re-issued an appeal over the disappearance of two Chinese nationals almost eight weeks since they went missing.

Detective Chief Inspector Catherine Magee said: "The two women, thirty year old Ni, Xiaofang and 26 year old Ni, Zhiling, failed to return to their tour bus whilst visiting the Giants Causeway, Bushmills on Tuesday, 29 July.

"Ni, Xiaofang is described as approximately 5'2" tall, slim build wearing a yellow jumper, blue jeans and flip flops, with short black hair. Ni, Zhiling is described as approximately 5'2" tall, slim build, wearing a pink jumper, blue jeans and flip flops.

"There have been credible sightings of both women in the Republic of Ireland, specifically in the Carrick-on-Shannon area. We need to establish that these women are safe and well and ensure that they have not come to harm or are in a dangerous situation.

"Police would ask them or anyone who knows of their whereabouts to contact police at Coleraine on the non emergency number 101."
