Police Appeal Following West Belfast Shooting

Police are appealing for information after a man was shot in both legs and arms at a house in west Belfast.

The PSNI said that masked gunmen forced their way into a house on Hawthorne Street at about 21:15 on Tuesday night.

The victim, who has not been named, was shot a number of times in his legs and arms.

Anyone with any information is asked contact police on the non-emergency number 101.

Police Officers Disciplined For Failing To Tell Doctor About Woman's Head Injuries
Two police officers have been disciplined after they failed to let their colleagues and a police doctor know that a woman had sustained a head injury, a Police Ombudsman investigation has concluded. The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.

Man injured in paramilitary style shooting
A 20-year-old man has been treated in hospital for gun shot wounds to his arms, legs and one hand following a paramilitary style shooting in east Belfast early this morning. The incident occurred shortly after midnight on Thursday morning after police and ambulance crews were called to a walkway between Mersey Street and Severn Street.
