Appeal Over Randalstown Attempted Armed Robbery
Police have appealed for information following an attempted armed robbery at a shop in Randalstown, Co Antrim.
A masked and armed man entered a shop on Main Street at about 21:30 on Wednesday evening and approached the checkout.
But police said the man was only in the shop for a short time before leaving in the direction of the Neilsbrook estate empty-handed.
The man is reported to have been wearing a hooded top with the hood over his head.
He is described as being approximately 5'10" - 6'1" tall and of slim build.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police on the non-emergency number 101 or anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Death Of Kilkeel Man Being Treated As Murder
A murder investigation has been launched following the death of a man in Kilkeel. On Thursday, 21 March, police received a report of a concern for safety for a couple at a property in the Newcastle Road area of the town shortly after 12.50pm. On arrival, officers located the body of a man who was unconscious and not breathing.

Police are appealing for information after a man, armed with a knife, stole a cash register from a shop in Ballymena. The incident occurred at premises on Queen Street at around 6.30am on Monday, 11 September. the suspect is described as being approximately 6ft in height and had his face covered with a dark balaclava.

Man Jailed For Manslaughter Of David James Conville
A 31-year-old man has been jailed at Belfast Crown Court for the manslaughter of David James Conville in south Belfast in May, 2022. Edward Kelly was sentenced to serve three-and-a-half years, half of his sentence will be served in custody and half will be served on licence, following his guilty plea last November.
