Police Appeal For Witnesses Following Crash In Islandmagee

Police are appealing for witnesses following a crash in Islandmagee which has left a seven-year-old in a critical condition.

The crash happened on Lough Road on Saturday, 18 April.

The driver of one of the vehicles was also seriously injured and is currently being treated in hospital.

Two vehicles, a white Ford Ka and a blue Vauxhall Mokka, were involved in the accident which occurred at around 2.40pm.

A couple and two children, aged two and three, were also taken to hospital, however they are not believed to have sustained any life threatening injuries.

Inspector David McCausland said: "We believe several vehicles were in the area at the time and the occupants may have either witnessed the collision or came upon the scene but turned and left without leaving any details. We would appeal to these potential witnesses to get in touch with us."
