Police Seize Cannabis Worth Over £400,000 In Magherafelt
Police have arrested two men following a cannabis seizure in Magherafelt, L'Derry.
It is believed to have a street value of more than £400,000.
The drugs were found at Carricknakielt on Tuesday.
The arrested men, one of whom is thought to be in his 30s, the other in his 50s, have both been taken to Antrim Police Station for questioning.
Detective Inspector Andy Dunlop of the Reactive and Organised Crime Branch said: "We would again ask members of the public to be vigilant and report any suspicious activity or behaviour to Police on 101 or anonymously to the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
"Criminal enterprises like this do not simply appear overnight. The public should report their suspicions to the police. This enables us to do our job of identifying those who make substantial profits from this illegal activity and prevent harmful drugs reaching our streets."
