Translink Appoints New Group Chief Executive

Translink has appointed Chris Conway as its new Group Chief Executive.

The Chairman of the Board of Northern Ireland Transport Holding Company, John Trethowan, made the announcement.

Mr Trethowan said: "We are delighted with this appointment which follows a recruitment competition that attracted significant interest and a very high calibre field. In Chris Conway we are confident that we have found an experienced and skilled individual. He is the right person to lead Translink, one of Northern Ireland’s most high profile businesses which provides an essential service to so many.

"As a Board we look forward to working with Chris Conway, his Executive team and all the staff in Translink to continue the track record of success, growth and investment the group has delivered over these past years."

Mr Conway will take up the post on 7 September.

Executive Agrees Increase In Regional Rate For 2024/25
The Executive has agreed an increase in the regional rate for 2024/25, to rise is line with inflation. If substantially approved by the Assembly, the regional rate element of the bill would add 46p per week to the bill for a domestic property with an average capital value of £123,000 and £10.
