Police Appeal Following Armed Robbery In East Belfast

A man armed with a knife robbed a convenience store in east Belfast on Friday morning.

The incident occurred on the Woodstock Road at around 7am.

The man threatened two members of staff and made off with a quantity of cigarettes in a red recycling box. He headed on foot in the direction of Willowfield Walk.

The man wore a mask and a red hooded top.

The two female staff members were not injured, however they were left shaken.

Police are appealing to anyone with information to contact them.

Man Arrested Over East Belfast Robbery
A man is to appear in court today, 18 January, charged on suspicion of robbery in east Belfast. The incident happened at the Co-op on the Beersbridge Road at around 7.45am on Saturday. The man, armed with a knife, entered the store and threatened staff members. He also demanded cash from the till.

Two Arrested Following Armed Robbery In East Belfast
Two people have been arrested in connection with an armed robbery in east Belfast. The incident occurred at commercial premises on the Upper Newtownards Road at around 11.50pm on Tuesday, 17 May. A man, aged 26, and a woman, aged 28, were arrested on suspicion of armed robbery. The pair are currently being detained by the police.
