Metaverse Jobs Announcement Welcomed

SDLP Foyle MP Mark Durkan has welcomed 100 new jobs at Metaverse Mod Squad in L'Derry as a significant vote of confidence in the city.

Mr Durkan said: "I want to welcome news that Metaverse Mod Squad are investing in Derry, bringing 100 new jobs.

"This is a vote of confidence in our city as a strong place for digital investment and hopefully this will act as a magnet to attract further positive investment for Derry.

"In order to build on this investment and create a strong regional economy in the North West, we now need to see follow up support and resource investment in education and universities. That means the expansion of Magee to create more skill clusters, like digital marketing and support, that will attract more jobs."
