Two Teens Arrested After Car Stolen In South Belfast

Two teenagers have been arrested after a car was stolen following an aggravated burglary in south Belfast on Saturday.

The incident happened in the Lille Park area just after 11.45pm.

The two males, aged 14 and 17, entered a house and stole a set of car keys, before making off in the car.

It is believed one of the males was armed with a knife.

They have been arrested on suspicion of a number of offences including aggravated burglary, taking and driving away (TADA) and dangerous driving.

Inspector John Murray said: "The two males currently remain in custody assisting police with their enquiries."

The PSNI have issued an appeal for information after a woman and four young children were held captive as their home was ransacked in an aggravated burglary in East Belfast on Saturday, 06 April. Police received a report that around 10.45pm, four masked men entered a house in the Greenwood Hill area of Castlereagh.
