Firmus Energy To Cut Gas Prices By Up To 10%

Firmus Energy is to reduce its domestic and business natural gas prices by up to 10% for customers in Northern Ireland.

The announcement follows the completion of the recent review of prices of all the suppliers in Greater Belfast area and will come into effect on 05 October.

The tariff decrease, was agreed following discussions with the Utility Regulator, DETI and the Consumer Council NI.

Michael Scott, Managing Director for Firmus Energy, said: "We are delighted to announce a reduction in natural gas prices for our customers, particularly as we come into the winter months.

"Firmus energy consistently keeps natural gas prices as low and stable as possible for our customers. All our customers will receive a letter within a week outlining their tariff reduction and the date it will come into effect.

"We will continue to monitor costs and wholesale fuel prices closely to ensure the price we charge our customers is the best value that we can offer."
