Arts Council Funding Reinstated
Funding of £620,000 to the Arts Council has been reinstated.
The funding will now be passed on to the 32 arts organisations and £320,000 to Sport NI.
The Minister of Culture, Arts and Leisure, Carál Ní Chuilín, said she was delighted with the announcement.
She said: "I pledged to do my utmost to secure additional funding so that some or all of this money could be reinstated.
"I made a strong case for the reinstatement of this money and I am pleased that the Finance Minister, Arlene Foster, took this into account when making reallocations during November Monitoring.
"I thank her for listening to the arguments which I made. As a result £940,000 has been secured and I know that this will be welcomed."
