Driver Rescued Trying To Cross River In L'Derry

The Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service (NIFRS) has rescued a driver who was trying to cross the River Roe in Dungiven, L'Derry.

The man, who was driving a 4x4 vehicle, is believed to have been trying to cross the River Roe.

Emergency services attended the scene and the man was not injured, however he was left badly shaken.

Appeal Following Fatal Collision On Curr Road
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information following a fatal road traffic collision on Tuesday, 05 march between Omagh and Ballygawley. Shortly before 7.25pm on Tuesday evening, police received a report of a collision on the Curr Road involving a white BMW 320 and blue Scania lorry.

Man Wanted In Lithuania Arrested In Magherafelt
The PSNI have arrested a 23-year-old man in Magherafelt wanted in Lithuania to face charges of human trafficking. The man was arrested by officers from the Police Service's local policing team in Magherafelt, with assistance from the International Policing Unit. He is expected appear before extradition court in Belfast later today.
