Woman Convicted Of Benefit Fraud
A woman has been convicted for claiming for claiming benefits she was not entitled at Coleraine Magistrates' Court.
Margaret Beattie claimed Jobseekers Allowance and Housing Benefit totalling £12,280 while failing to declare employment. She was given 75 hours community service.
She is also required to repay the outstanding money wrongfully obtained to the Social Security Agency.
NIE Networks To Attend Self Build Show
NIE Networks has announced it is attending the Self Build Show at the Titanic TEC in Belfast.
The show takes place from 12 to the 14 February.
Edel Creery, Connections Manager at NIE Networks, said: "At NIE Networks, we aim to make the connections process as easy as possible for our customers.

New Member Appointed To The Governing Body Of SERC
Employment and Learning Minister Dr Stephen Farry has announced the appointment of a new member to the Governing Body of South Eastern Regional College.
The Minister has appointed John Mackell with effect from 1 February 2016 for a period of four years.
Minister Farry said: "Our further education colleges play a crucial role in Northern Ireland by delivering cutting edge provision, which enables students to gain the skills required within a progressive and competitive economy.
"The South Eastern Regional College has a strong track record of understanding and responding to the needs of the economy, employers and learners in its local area.
"The appointment of Mr John Mackell will help to ensure that the College has the strategic leadership in place to strengthen its performance and provide a better service for the whole community."

River Lagan Flood Protection Works Underway
Infrastructure Minister John O’Dowd has announced that flood protection refurbishment work on the River Lagan has got underway. The work costing £900k is being carried out by local building contractor Maurice Flynn and Sons who are replacing the gates at the Hilden and Lambeg river control structures on the River Lagan.

Highlighting the importance of holding an early meeting with Minister Coveney, Minister Murphy said that the topic of discussion was "how we can prosper from the Windsor Framework".
