Police Appeal After Pensioner Hit By Car In Co Armagh

Police are appealing for information after a pensioner was hit by a car in Lurgan, Co Armagh.

The incident happened on Avenue Road between Lurgan Park and the junction of Avenue Road and Flush place last Friday.

The 80-year-old woman is believed to have been struck by a red-coloured Ford Fiesta.

She was taken to hospital and was treated for a number of fractures.

Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Two police officers have been disciplined after they failed to let their colleagues and a police doctor know that a woman had sustained a head injury, a Police Ombudsman investigation has concluded.
