New Search Begins For Lisa Dorrian

Police investigating the disappearance and murder of Lisa Dorrian have started a new search as a result of new information.

Ms Dorrian, 25, was last seen at a caravan site in Ballyhalbert on 28 February 2005.

Her body has never been found.

The search is ongoing on land just outside Comber.

Detective Chief Inspector Justyn Galloway, said: "We will be deploying a significant range and amount of resources over the next few days. These will include search teams, body recovery dogs and ground probes. Other equipment and experts are available, if required.

"Lisa's family are being kept fully informed about our enquiries. The search may yield nothing but we feel it is appropriate to act on this new information.

"This is the latest search in an extensive investigative programme and demonstrates our commitment to act on information which has been provided to us by someone who is not interested in publicity."

Lisa Dorrian Search Progresses To New Site
The ongoing search for Lisa Dorrian has intensified, with officers searching a second site in Ballyhalbert. Detectives have been scouring the County Down caravan park where the 25-year-old was last seen alive in February 2005, as well as a disused airfield behind it and now another piece of land nearby.

Lisa Dorrian Search Yields No Results
An extensive search for evidence pertaining to the case of a missing woman has yielded no results, police have said. Detectives investigating the murder of Lisa Dorrian have completed a search of farmland near Comber, County Down. Police revealed nothing of significance has been found.
