Pensioner Killed In L'Derry Collision Named

A 70-year-old man who was killed after being struck by a car in L'Derry has been named as James Brendan O'Connor.

The accident happened in the Culmore Road area just before 7pm on Sunday.

The road remains closed and motorists are being urged to seek an alternative route.

Police arrested and questioned a 43-year-old man, however he has been released on bail pending further enquiries.

SDLP Leader Colum Eastwood tweeted: 'Very sad news. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family'.

Man Killed In Co Antrim Road Collision Named
A man who died in a road collision in Co Antrim has been named as Kamil Gervenka. The crash occurred on the Portglenone Road in Randalstown at around 12.15am on Sunday, 23 October. It is believed he was originally from Slovakia and worked in the area. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Man Killed In Co Fermanagh Road Crash Named
A man who was killed in a car crash on the A4 Belfast Road, Co Fermanagh, on Wednesday has been identified as Jamie Alexander Nelson. A car and a lorry were involved in a crash which occurred at around 8am. Mr Nelson was the driver of the car. Police are appealing for witnesses to contact them.
