Appeal Following Spate Of Burglaries In Co Down

Police are appealing for information following a spate of burglaries in Co Down.

Jewellery and cash were stolen from three houses in Rathfriland and Loughbrickland on Tuesday, 08 March.

Thieves burgled a home in the Cross Heights area and stole jewellery and a sum of money sometime between 7.15am and 9.30pm.

Between 8pm and 10.15pm a property in Sleepy Valley, Rathfriland, was broken into and between 6.45pm and 9.50pm, a house in Bovenett Heights, Loughbrickland, was burgled.

Jewellery and cash were also stolen in both burglaries.

A man was seen driving a dark coloured car and was seen searching around a house in Rathfriland Street at approximately 8.15pm.

He is described as just over 6ft tall, with short, fair hair. He was wearing a zip up coat and jeans.

Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Renewed Appeal For Help Tracing Missing Woman Paula Elliott
The PSNI have issued a fresh appeal for help in tracing the whereabouts of high-risk missing person Paula Elliott, who has now not been seen for three weeks. Paula, 52, was last seen on Tuesday 5th March on CCTV cameras leaving the Sprucefield Court area of Lisburn at 5.30pm, before making her way to Warren Gardens at around 5.36pm.

Appeal After Masked Men Force Entry Into Home Of Elderly Man
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information after five masked me forced entry into the home of an man aged in his 70s, on the Saintfield Road. Police received a report shortly before 11.30pm on Saturday, 17th February that between 10pm and 10.30pm on the same evening, five masked men entered a house in the Saintfield Road area.
