Armed Men Ransack South Belfast Home

Three men, two armed with a crowbar and a screwdriver, have ransacked a house in south Belfast.

A 26-year-old man was in the property in Melrose Street at around 11am on Saturday at the time.

The intruders ordered the resident to place a pillow over his face and they ransacked the property.

The men left with a laptop.

Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Masked Men Ransack Pensioner's Home 'Searching For Drugs'
A gang of masked men have ransacked a pensioner's home "searching for drugs" in north Belfast. The burglary occurred in the Downview Mews area on Wednesday at around 7pm. The men told the female resident, aged in her 70s, they were looking for drugs. The men ransacked a bedroom and made off in the direction of Donegall Park Avenue.

Detectives Investigate Burglary In North Belfast
PSNI detectives have issued an appeal for information following a report of a burglary at residential premises in the Wilton Street area of north Belfast. Between 7.30am and around 6.25 pm yesterday, 29 January, it was reported that entry was gained to a property in the area.

Burglars ransack pensioner's south Belfast home
There has been another incidence of a pensioner being targeted by thieves in Belfast yesterday. The elderly lady's home in Kimberly Street, south Belfast, was burgled sometime between 10am and 4pm yesterday when she was out. A number of items were taken, which have been described by the victim as of great sentimental value, including jewellery.
