Dalzell's of Markethill

"We have to appreciate where we've come from to know what we stand for and ultimately where we're going in life."

You might be wondering which respected philosopher penned the above quote, but it is actually our first introduction to a family-run business in Markethill, Co Armagh, called Dalzell's.

Dalzell's of Markethill was founded by husband and wife, Noel and Evelyn Dalzell, in 1956 and has grown to become the largest independent family owned home appliances retailer in Ireland, North and South.

Now owned and operated by Mr and Mrs Dalzell's son and daughter-in-law, Trevor and Sharon Dalzell, the company credit "good, honest hard work" with not just their longevity but their continuing success.

The company stills holds to the "founding principles set in stone" by its founders: Quality, Value and Service – Quality products at the best Value prices combined with friendly and efficient Service, which they say has "ensured that Dalzells of Markethill has gone from humble beginnings to a company which retails a vast selection of over 8,000 Domestic Appliances both online and in-store."

Dalzell's of Markethill can be found at 62-68 Main Street, Markethill, Co Armagh, and online at 4ni.co.uk and dalzells.com.
