Man Arrested After Cannabis Factory Discovered In East Belfast

A 60-year-old man has been arrested after a cannabis factory was discovered in east Belfast.

Cannabis plants, worth an estimated £85,000, were found at a property in the Victoria Road area on Tuesday, 10 May.

During follow up searches on Wednesday, 11 May, a man was arrested at a property in Mersey Street.

He has been detained on suspicion of cultivating cannabis and other class B drugs offences.

Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Police in east Belfast have uncovered a suspected cannabis factory following the search of a property in the area yesterday afternoon. During the raid at the house in the Albertbridge Road area of the city, police recovered 35 mature cannabis plants, and other paraphernalia.
